Apple Cinnamon Walnut Oatmeal

Warm apples cooked in cinnamon mixed in with quick oats, ground flax, milk and finished with walnuts make this a delicious, creamy bowl of oatmeal.

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 apple diced
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp ground flax
  • 1-2 tsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp chopped walnuts
  • 2 tbsp milk


  1. In a small saucepan, add the water, cinnamon and apples and bring to a light simmer. Cover with a lid and cook until the apples are soft, about 5 minutes.

  2. In a breakfast bowl, add the oats, ground flax, and maple syrup. Add the apple mixture, milk and stir. Sprinkle with walnuts.
